I used to love getting together with some friends and playing Dokapon Kingdom for the Wii only reason I still have it. I liked the rpg mechanics along with the competitive board game style. Come on! No love for the poo hair? I wish something like this existed too but it's probably not gqme.
People are pretty anti-board game style games due to the Wii U's infamous patterns. I really enjoyed that game and the rest of the party games feel a bit shallow after Dokapon. My friends and I play board games more than video games these days, but the aspects no cleanup or debating over rules is quite appealing.

The concept of playing competitive board games with your friends while conversing is slowly becoming a dead idea. I guess in a real life context, there are several issues. One, it's incredibly hard to have more than 1 person who are willing to hop in between the games of this genre. It's also difficult to expect those people to play those games in the competitive spirit that game dokapon kingdom pc games require of the people. Two, competition in a non-competitive scene is already contradictory.
